Still, as an S18, it's a positive chart that naturally guides you into drags. (Though S16 is just this one, which is unpleasant). Let's build up our technique by freely using brackets and drags.

If you play it on a good pad, clearing it is much easier than most high-tier 17s. Even if the drag path itself is unfamiliar, if you just play it as you see it, you won't lose much HP even if you miss a few, so there's no need to be scared.

Practically, there's almost nothing 18-like about it except for the slides (the runs aren't that complex, and while the 16-beat twists appearing right after slides can be disorienting, you should at least be able to keep your gauge up even if you can't clear it perfectly). Even the slides can be survived if you force it or lower your jump height to step as much as possible, though your judgment will suffer. The judgment-grinding difficulty might be high due to the unique slides, and there could be personal difference because of them, but since that personal difference isn't something a 18 player can't overcome, it seems stuck in the lower tier. If it weren't for the slides, it might have dropped to the very bottom?

I played today's homework song right at the start of the phoenix 2 version update and got a one-trick clear, but it's not easy to build up your pump skill after that. The stamina drain, including jumps and drags, wasn't that high, and there's a high chance that songs of this difficulty need to be manageable to solve.
